Sagarmatha National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

The trek lies within Sagarmatha National Park, located in Nepal’s Khumbu region. Established in 1975, the park covers 1,148 sq. km, ranging from 2,845 m (Monjo) to the summit of Mt. Everest (8,848 m). It includes the upper catchments of the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers and is home to iconic peaks such as Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Pumori.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350 m)
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu – Lukla (2,840 m) – Phakding (2,610 m)
Early morning scenic flight to Lukla (35 minutes). Begin trekking to Phakding.
Overnight at lodge

Day 03: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3,440 m)
Trek to Namche Bazaar, entering Sagarmatha National Park along the way.
Overnight at lodge

Day 04: Namche Bazaar (Acclimatization Day)
Short hike to Everest View Hotel and surrounding areas. Return to Namche Bazaar.
Overnight at lodge

Day 05: Namche Bazaar – Phortse (3,600 m)
Trek to the Sherpa village of Phortse via Mong La.
Overnight at lodge

Day 06: Phortse – Tengboche (3,850 m)
Trek to Tengboche and visit the famous Tengboche Monastery.
Overnight at lodge

Day 07: Tengboche – Khumjung Village (3,900 m)
Trek to Khumjung, a traditional Sherpa village with great mountain views.
Overnight at lodge

Day 08: Khumjung – Phakding (2,610 m)
Descend through forests and villages to Phakding.
Overnight at lodge

Day 09: Phakding – Lukla (2,840 m)
Final trek back to Lukla.
Overnight at lodge

Day 10: Lukla – Kathmandu
Morning flight back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Day 11: Kathmandu (Free Day)
Free time for rest, sightseeing, or shopping.

Day 12: Departure
Transfer to the airport for onward flight.
