Overview
Nagarjun hill also known as Jamacho, situated west of Kathmandu city at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level and it is a part of Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park established in 2002. Located in the country’s mid-hills on the northern fringe of the Kathmandu valley and named after the Shivapuri Peak 2732 m (8,963 ft) and Nagarjun Hill 2100 meters, which covers an area of 159 km2 (61 Sq miles) in the district of Kathmandu, Nuwakot and Sindhupalchowk. The security of the park area is managed by the Nepal army.
The trail passes through the forest, and also has a bird’s eye view of the Kathmandu Valley and the himalayan ranges from the top of the Nagarjun hill. It goes steeply uphill for about 2-3 hours until the top of the hill.
With good weather one can have a panoramic view of the himalayan ranges such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Annapurna, Gaurishankar and Mt. Everest too.

ITINERARY:
At 8:00 am. – Meet your guide at the hotel and drive about half an hour to the National Park entrance gate, which is 10 kilometers north-west of Kathmandu. Pay the National Park entrance fee, go through the necessary security check by Nepal army and start hiking.
Approx. 5 hours walk
Hike Start & end at the Fulbari gate, National Park checkpoint.
15.00 hr. drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel.
