Overview

Pokhara is located at an altitude of 820 meters above sea level and 200 km west of the capital, Kathmandu. The city is home to many of the elite gorkha army, recruited for the Nepal army, British army, Indian Army and Singapore police. For the trekkers, it’s a gateway to the Annapurna region.

The Himalayan ranges, with three main peaks above eight thousand meters, out of the ten in the world, can be viewed from the city – Annapurna, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri.

The International Mountain Museum – it has exhibits on the history of mountaineering and the people of the Himalayas. Historical documents, records and chronicles on mountaineering, the museum houses three main exhibition halls: Hall of the Great Himalaya, Hall of Fame and the Hall of World Mountains. It also houses a library, a prayer room called Lhakhang and an audio-visual room.
– Open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pokhara is warmer than Kathmandu. Summers are warm and humid while winters are mild and pleasant.

Kathmandu to Pokhara – Flight – 0.30 minutes and – Bus/Car – 6 to 7 hrs.

ITINERARY:
Day 01 – KATHMANDU – POKHARA
Meet your guide at the hotel and transfer to domestic airport
Fly Kathmandu / Pokhara and transfer to hotel & check in
In the evening walk around the lakeside and have dinner at the lakeside.

Day 02 – POKHARA
Explore the Pokhara valley
Early morning excursion to Sarangko for Sunrise over the Himalaya
Lakeside, old bazar & Bindhyabasini temple and Int’l. Mountain museum.

Day 03 – POKHARA – KATHMANDU
Transfer to Airport and fly back to Kathmandu.
